Thank you so Much Ashley.
There are some people in here who have been sreading trash talk about HIV/AIDS claiming HIV does not cause AIDS.
These people have been quoting the same people who were shunned by the entire AIDS community. I think its time someone spoke up against these guys.

Ashley G wrote, 'GET SOME EDUCATION people'.

Unfortunately people have been so beat over the head with 'HIV/AIDS' dogma that I don't see how expecting more of the same is going to be of benefit. Teenagers already don't get 'HIV/AIDS'. White heterosexuals who don't do drugs don't get 'HIV/AIDS'. The only reason Black folks are being more 'affected' by 'HIV/AIDS' is because they are being TESTED more often.

So how can 'HIV/AIDS' affect an equal number of heterosexuals in Africa yet have a complete indifference to heterosexuals in the West?

WHERE is the heterosexual 'epidemic' of 'HIV/AIDS' in the West?
WHERE?

It seems the lack of education on this matter has done a great job of preventing its spread.

Maybe what's in order is more education about learning to think and critically question what we're constantly told about something.

I do not think I know all there is to know about HIV or AIDS. If I did know, then, I would wave my magical brain over all those with the Virus, and make them all well, again. My son does have HIV, and he works in an HIV (specialty) clinic. I have learned so much from him, but, he knows there is so much more for all of us to learn. People, all of us, need more education regarding how to prevent the virus. Education would make it a subject that is not taboo, and people could discuss the problems much better. The people who have not learned how the virus can be transmitted are the most terrified. I do understand what is understood, today, as the paths the virus can follow to be transmitted to me. That makes me comfortable around people with HIV/AIDs, as I know what NOT to do. I, too, wish that more people would learn more about this virus.

We think we know things because we have been bombarded with information for 28 years. Some of us are amazed that people are still being diagnosed with HIV because we know how to prevent it in most people.

Some of us actually know more than you. Possible more than your mum as well, so don't tar us all with the same brush.

Because if people on the internet knew what they were talking about, your mom wouldn't have a job.

Because people are stupid. And by stupid I mean they think they know things they don't. Unfortunately, stupid is terminal. An ignorant person will freely admit they don't know. They can be taught.
