"It is good to have an open mind, but not so much that your brains fall out."
Is it because of curiosity, newness or an expansion of the mind? You might want to check out Paramahansa Yogananda's work. He formed a group called Self Realization Fellowship. (SRF.org). It is all about east meeting west in the science of religion.
His books called "The Second Coming of Christ" explains Christianity easily within the science of the East, so that it can be more fully understood in laymans terms. (He taught massive groups of people in the USA during the 20's to the 40's, I believe.)
There are Messianic Jews too, by the way. It is not that far fetched. Check out the websight below.
"If there is but one Light, Religions are but the rainbow of colors that glint off the crystal mind of man."

I am not sure because it will depend on how you work at changing some of your beliefs. For example, I take that devout Christians --generally speaking-- hold to the view that access to the divine comes only in a relationship to Jesus. I also take it that assertion would cause most devout Hindus to raise their eyebrows. :)
So, how do you resolve the conflict that invariably comes where the propositions in one religion are explicitly denied in the other?

Cristian or Hindu, is matter of designation. How sincere you are in order to execute the orders of God, that matters. If being Hindu make you a better Cristian, then is good.

You obviously no nothing about christianity. Its better to of never known the lord than to of known him and turned from him. They have complete different beliefs. Just saying your a christian doesnt mkae you a christian. You have to truely believe what is in the bible. That Jesus is the son of god and by the power of god was raised from the dead. Jesus is the only way to heaven no matter what all these other religions say. Hindus worship worthless idols right? God hates Idol worship.

I think "becoming a student" or a 'devotee' might better describe your intentions.
