No you don't need any of those to start up automatically. If you want to use the programs you can click them open whenever you need them after. Booting up is so slow if your startup has anything in it. I only keep my antivirus there.

In most cases, you do not need any of the 'applications' that auto start. Occasionally there will be one that is used in conjunction with your hardware that is needed, but it is rare.

Via MSCONFIG un-check all items and reboot. If everything works ok, leave as is. otherwise you can selectively re-enable things to make everything 'ok'. Also you will probably want to do a disk cleanup and degfrag to 'tune up' your pc.

----Edit-----
there could also be some spyware/trojan/virus on your PC. I would also do a virus/spyware scan. I cannot think of any app that has the name NA off the top of my head. There are many online scanners availible for use for infection scanning.

There are many sites that will give you descriptions and tell you whether apps are necessary or not. Check out the links in the sources for some of the sites

No unless you want it to start automatically. If not click on 'Start' -> 'Run' or shortcut "Windows key"+"r"
type in "msconfig" without quotes, and in the last tab to the right find msmessenger and uncheck it.

Not if your life doesn't depend on it. If you take it off of your startup then you could just open it up as a shortcut whenever you need it.
