... that would indicate a bowel malfunction and such things are really expected during such stressful events as a funeral. Bodily functions have a mind of their own when we grieve, get excited or burst out in laughter. Mature people are aware of this and should be sympathetic to your overwroght emotions. It is not cause for ridicule nor personal shame.
Excuse yourself as you would in any other situation involving mixed company - solemn occasion or not.

I assume that an "f" should go where the "sh" is. Or maybe shart is a new word for a really bad fart. If you made some noise, just say excuse me. If it was a silent one but really bad, you might also say excuse me or sorry (especially if indoors).
