No. I don't. They are people who have goals, principle, and duties to do in their lives. In this case, they have divine guide to go with them. And like people who are working as doctors, politicians, chef, etc, they are definitely living their lives. Pastors, nuns, even monks in my community work a lot with the surroundings. Make better of someone's day. And I believe that is a lot better than people who are high on drugs, alcohols, gambling and all those things. I'd say they are the ones who had no life. And hey, it's just my opinion. =)

No, I don't think they're people who don't have a life. Some of them are very devoted to what they do. They're supposed to provide spiritual and religious guidance for others who need it. Some become pastors, nuns, etc for other reasons too so it's kind of hard to say...

Nope I am a training to be a Pastor and spend most of my days around ministers. They work very very hard for very little money and sacrifice all they have to follow what God wants. But many of them have more life then anyone else I know. They are the most caring, compassionate, peaceful people in the world. Don't be so bias!!! They may have more life then you

Since many pastors and nuns have University degrees, many are PhDs, many have excelled at sports, many have travelled the world, many have met world leaders and call them friend, many have worked with the destitute in harsh conditions ...
I'd say most clergymen and women have had more of a life than you.

That's pretty narrow-minded of you. It may not count as YOUR version of a life (exciting, ambitious, rich, lots of social activities, etc), but to them, they felt their live was worthwhile before joining the church. They had to give up certain things to join, such as sex and private property and stuff like that, so it isn't always an easy decision for them.
Besides, I think you mean PRIESTS and nuns - pastors are Protestant, and aren't required to sacrifice so much of their private life.

I do too. I mean it's so sad. A nun can't have sex???
What is life without sex?
that is very very very sad to me
poor ladies :(
But pastors are undercover doing what they want to do, they have a life because they are rich!

Nope. They had lives. Religion just ruined them. Okay, perhaps they may just be martyrs, in which case, they wouldn't have it any other way.
Weakness has nothing to do with a godless life. It means you have to do the right thing and love, because you actually believe in it, not because of some supernatural being. In fact, people can do anything, say anything and as long as it's for a religious OR spiritual purpose, it slides.

I'm an atheist, just a jumping off point here. I know a few men who were in the semenary (I have a thing for priests and priests in training, don't judge just explainin why I would know them.) and it's not because they have no life- They are super duper passionate about what they believe (that's why I have a thing for em I love the passion they have)

No, my step-father is now a pastor and he had plenty to do before he became one. He still does more than just his pastor duties. He helps his parents run the family ranch.
