Why do they fell the need to have to confess their sins to a priest? Isnt that between them and God....? For those of you who are catholic, why do you feel the need to tell priests you sins. Or does it just come with the catholic title?

apocrypha means unauthentic writing or no authenticity of the word being wrote or questionable writings. --- maybe the are making their own words and translate it in a wrong way to its members.Anyway many of the doctrines of the catholics are not biblical but Vatican doctrine or papal doctrines.
Catholics do not really belong to the religious people who are true Christians. They are the most abusive religion entire the world, they kill, they rape, they rob, they still properties, gamble drunkards they pray on images made of stones, gold, wood or lumber and even made of plastic now a days.

>>They added books to the bible called the apocryphas....i dont think they know at the word means!!!<<

They are called apocryphal by OTHERS. (If I call your dog ugly, does that make it true?) The books were not added by the Catholic Church; they were there before the Church was even founded. The Catholic Church recognizes the body called the Septuagint:

>>why are all the priests that have sex with little boys are CATHOLIC??????<<

They aren't:

>>Why do they fell the need to have to confess their sins to a priest? Isnt that between them and God....? For those of you who are catholic, why do you feel the need to tell priests you sins.<<

That is how God set it up:

"'But that you may know that the Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins' -- he then said to the paralytic -- 'Rise, take up your bed and go home.' And he rose and went home. When the crowds saw it, they were afraid, and they glorified God, who had given such authority to men." (Matthew 9:6-8)

"Jesus said to them again, 'Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you.' And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, 'Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.'" (John 20:21-23)

1. The catholics don't call this apocrypha protestants do we believe they are authentic.

2. Wow how wrong can you be I have herd so much about cases from other christian denominations, muslim imams and so on. The only reason all the hype was on catholics was that some of the bishops would ignore the fact and move priest through diocese. A bishop doesn't represent all catholics only if hes the bishop of rome.

Apocrypha \A*poc"ry*pha\, n. pl., but often used as sing. with
pl. Apocryphas. [L. apocryphus apocryphal, Gr. ? hidden,
spurious, fr. ? to hide; ? from + ? to hide.]
1. Something, as a writing, that is of doubtful authorship or
authority; -- formerly used also adjectively. [Obs.]
--Locke.

2. Specif.: Certain writings which are received by some
Christians as an authentic part of the Holy Scriptures,
but are rejected by others.

Note: Fourteen such writings, or books, formed part of the
Septuagint, but not of the Hebrew canon recognized by
the Jews of Palestine. The Council of Trent included
all but three of these in the canon of inspired books
having equal authority. The German and English
Reformers grouped them in their Bibles under the title
Apocrypha, as not having dogmatic authority, but being
profitable for instruction. The Apocrypha is now
commonly ?mitted from the King James's Bible.

First, which books of the Bible are considered the apocryphas? Secondly, while the sexual abuse by priests has been well publicized, do you really believe that they are the only clergy that has ever perpetrated abuse against the young? Although it is easy to judge the whole based on the actions of some, it takes intelligence and a willingness to learn to look beyond the scandals and innuendo.

1. Well, they have the same level of verifiable authenticity as any other biblical work. They all claim to be the words of God- including books that directly contradict the canon and what would be deemd the core of christian belief.

2. Because 'priests', by definition, are Catholics. That's why!

The devil has come into our churches and not only the catholic. I'm sure the catholic church is finding out that pedophiles have opened themselves up to Satanic demons. A catholic priest and a baptist preacher both will tell you that they must keep the full armor of God on at all times. The devil continually attacks the man of God if he lets his guard down for one moment. Ephesians 6.

No Martin Luther REMOVED 7 books from the original bible. And if it were not for the Catholic Church you would not have ANY bible except the Torah.

As for your second question. They are not true men of God. Why do protestant ministers and school teachers, and policemen and fire men among many other professions have sex with children?

I'm not Catholic, but I'm so sick of the priest molestation comments. We all know it was horrific. It's been outed and people are aware of it. The Catholic church can't hide their wrongdoings and cover-up on this issue anymore. Let's move on and allow them and their parishioners to handle their business.

Every church has scandal. Let's not start talking about ministers & rabbis having extra-marital affairs or getting caught visiting little girls they've met on the internet. Let's not discuss men of the cloth having hit contracts put out on their wives. We probably shouldn't mention the quack "excorcisms" that have left children and adults injured or dead. And, we certainly shouldn't talk about the endless number of cases where religious leaders have been caught stealing!

Let's make sure our own churches, synogagues, mosques, halls and temples are in order.

1. Martin Luther REMOVED books from the Bible that didn't agree with HIS theology.

Apocryphal means "hidden". Originally writings that claimed a sacred origin and were supposed to have been hidden for generations; later, a well-defined class of literature with scriptural or quasi-scriptural pretensions, but lacking genuineness and canonicity, which were composed during the two centuries before Christ and the early centuries of our era. Protestants apply the term improperly to denote also Old Testament books, not contained in the Jewish canon, but received by Catholics under the name of deuterocanonical.

2. Do you ask similar questions when teachers are caught having sex with their students? Do you realize that far more (per population) teachers, police officers, parents, sexually abuse children.
