Because I have heart problem and have never exercised, I cannot walk for half an hour, and my heart rate should be kept under control.
Is there any point in doing cardio exercises (walking, dancing) if I can't do it for half an hour and my heart rate should not be too high?

yeah, don't trust us, but yes, it is still good to walk/dance. When I began my weight loss journey, I could not walk more than 500 steps a day (very well, anyway). We're talking about 6 minutes of physical activity throughout the day combined - over time I built my body up and now can walk 10000 + steps a day.

Check with a physician and/or get a heart monitor - determine with the doc what is safe and what exercise/heart rate is recommended..

remember, any burnt calorie is a calorie burnt.......

you really do need to talk to your doctor. you don't have to do all 30 minutes at once, but the point of cardio is to raise your heart rate and that would be dangerous for you. ask your doctor for a safer exercise, like yoga or tai chi. there are plenty of exercises that will help you lose weight or tone up and not raise your heart rate.

you can start low and work up

I started on a readmill doing a 1 for 10 min, now I'm doing a 2.2 for 27 min = 1 mile in 27 min

Not the best, but it's progress

You must see your doctor before doing any cardio exercise. Normally I would try doing as least 15 minutes of walking then increase it day by day...

Reduce your own stress. Your stress hormone cortisol might be activated by extremely low-calorie weight loss plans, intense training, lack of sleep and day-to-day worries, which ends in a spike in glucose levels with your blood. More worryingly, it can contribute to blocked arteries and fat build around your internal organs, putting you in danger of diabetes and heart disease. The only real prescription for this is to… pass the time.

Always start your meal that has a salad. It'll fill you up, making you eat less in the actual meal, and it's means fewer calories than typical deep-fried or perhaps cheesy apps.

Wear comfy shoes to help you take meetings for a walk instead of sitting at a desk.

Eat in front of a person rather than screen. It cuts down on mindless eating and making you more accountable for each nip.

Choose menu items that are generally grilled, baked, blackened, steamed, or broiled as an alternative to fried or breaded.
