The are many questions about the after-life. This question is about the before-life.

Question: How long before birth had you been existing? And what was the nature of that existence? Was it similar to Heaven, or what?

Funny you should ask that, I actually had a very unusual gestation - some might say that explains a lot.

My mother was pregnant with twins, but my brother or sister spontaneously aborted quite early on in the piece. What with one thing and another poor old ma basically ended up being pregnant with me for about 10 months.

As to what that was like, I can't tell you, as I was very young at the time.

We exist eternally, but every time we take birth we forget.
The nature of our existence is spiritual, due to material desires, nature provides us with a material body life after life, in different species of life, according to our pass deeds.
In the human form of life we have the chance to stop this cycle of repeated birth and death, by awaking our dormant love of God by chanting:
hare Krishna hare Krishna
Krishna Krishna hare hare
hare Rama hare Rama
Rama Rama hare hare

I don't know... I'm sure it must have been quite a bit... but then I don't believe in linear time beyond what people need to function in THIS world to get around. I don't believe in finite beginnings nor finite ending, but rather cyclical existence... more logical to me than some finite end/destination/etc. and some finite "Big Bang" beginning as the ONLY beginning... just my Buddhist opinion though.

I do believe our souls were living before our physical bodies were. We lived with God and Christ and all our spirit brothers and sisters (I know.. sounds weird, but think about what God said about knowing us before we were born!!). We were there in heaven when Christ and Satan brought their plans before God. We were there to choose Christ over Satan. We know this to be true because we are on earth now. If you would have chosen Satan, you wouldn't have a body. I don't know how long we were in the spirit world before we had bodies. I think the only people who could answer that are God and Christ.

I didn't exist at all. After my death, I'll return to the same condition, having left a trace of memory in the minds of a few people.

We all existed in God and God in us (all one body) in the "heavens" so to speak. God yearned to experience so he divided himself into each individual spirit (millions upon millions). He experiences THROUGH us. We come into this world forgetting everything we once new so we can "re-member" through experience. This is my theory!!!!! And a blessed good one at that :-)

Everyone was created when God created the world. So in actuality we are all the same age. Everyone just born "on earth" at different times.

That is actually a good question. The bible plainly states that "he chose you before you were born". BUT, I can not answer the last half of your question. I don't know.
