be very careful.... demons can pretend to be whatever they want....and if they get you to believe that they are a loved one....they can get you in way over your head.

I suspect that a great deal of that sort of thing is wishful thinking, although the experience can be perceived as very real. Not long ago I was driving along the N71 in West Cork and I got the feeling that my long-dead father was sitting in the passenger seat next to me.
I may have been thinking how much he would have enjoyed the drive, and I was rather tired from a late night and an early morning, so possibly quite suggestible.
I will confess I was glad he could join me.

I think there's no reason for them to Communicate with the living anymore. Their time is finished and all problems belongs to those who lives. Moses was given a Law about this that anyone must not talk to the Dead. That's why praying to Dead people is wrong. If you have communicated with a spirit, probably its an evil spirit. But I think its possible that God will send angel(s) sometimes for us. But as of now, I think God will work more through his Living human Workers on this earth, than angels to do the Love job.

I haven't, but they come to my mom in dreams sometimes. In fact, every time a close older relative has passed, another one who already passed has come to her a night or two before. The last time, when an uncle died, his already deceased wife came to her in a dream in the wee hours of the morning and kept telling her "get up, get up, come on, we have to go get him". From prior experiences, she knew when she woke up what it must mean, so she threw her clothes on and sped the 50 miles or so to his house, and when she got there she had missed his passing by about 15 minutes.
In regards to what some others have said about demons, if you believe in the Bible, you must know that it's true. But it's also true that angels can appear the same way. They can sometimes appear to us in a familiar way like this so as to warn us without frightening us. I believe this is what happens with my mom.

My dad, a few days after his funeral. I had to go back to work, started to break down, so went to the office to get myself together. No one else in the room, or nearby. I was deep in thought when I heard a loud knock from a table about 5ft away. A few minutes later, it happened again, just one loud knock. I burst out laughing because I knew my dad was with me. When we were kids and a scary movie was on TV about seances or whatever, an actor would say "Is there anyone there, knock once for yes" and my dad would always laugh and add "...and twice for no." The memory came to me and I asked if my dad was in the room with me. A gentle tap came on the table. I got up to leave, and I felt my dad walk beside me, with his arm around my shoulder. I realized that day, that my dad was OK and he would always watch over me. Sometimes I feel someone stroking my hair and face, and I know that's my mother. I felt her near to me the day after she died, and continue to do so, 3 years later.

No.
Some people claim to have had contact, but either I don't believe them, or in actuality they are being contacted by demons.
I believe that when you die, you can't look back... you don't want to look back... because what is before you is so much greater -- that is, if you are a child of God through His Son.

yes! we tried for several years to get pregnant. when it finally happened there were a few significant problems. i worried all the time about the unborn baby. one night i there was a knock @ the door. it was my granddad. all he did was smile and nod. (i bought his house after he died 4 years earlier) then he turned walked down the steps and faded into the darkness. i don't think it was him, i think it was God using my g-dads form so i would not be frightened, letting me know all was OK. and other than being very silly, she is fine.

I haven't but my mom has had several dreams with dead family members that tell her things or advise her on certain issues... Not sure if its just her conscience talking to her while she sleeps but she is sure that they are messages.. and she sure enjoys seeing grandma once in a while in her dreams.

It is a sin to try and call up people from the dead. However, I do believe that it can be done. BUT, who really does it? I mean 99% of those who claim to do it are false.
