Over the past few weeks I've noticed that my hands will get hot and my fingers, especially my thumbs will be very hot and red. The rest of my body doesn't feel hot when this happens. I know Raynaud's is the opposite condition so what is this?

The hot and red IS one aspect of Raynaud's. When your hands get cold, the blood vessels shrink excessively, making your fingers cold--they often turn blue or white. Then, when they begin to warm up, they also overreact, and you get the hot, red condtion. If you are only getting hot and red, without feeling the preceding coldness, you may have some variation of the syndrome. Not everyone responds exactly the same way.
