I actually asked a vet about this once cause our dog was doing the same thing. They said this is true and that they can pick up the syllables when you talk.

Well if you are seriously going to post "did my dog just talkED" then you probably did hear your dog talk. However, you are the only one who is going to be able to hear this so you should probably keep this little gem to yourself.

Some breeds make a fairly large variety of noises besides barking. Many owners of breeds like boxers and Chihuahuas report that their dogs talk. My boxer makes kind of half growly noises to indicate she has to go outside. To anyone outside of my friends and family it sounds kind of scary and freaky but to us, we just get off of the couch and let her out.
