Truth is socially constructed.

Interesting thought. I have this from Thomas Paine:

…a long habit of not thinking a thing WRONG, gives it a superficial appearance of being RIGHT, and raises at first a formidable outcry in defense of custom. But the tumult soon subsides. Time makes more converts than reason.
--Thomas Paine, Common Sense

I'm inclined to think that 'truth' is relative.

Truth is truth from a perspective and in relation to a particular set of power differentials and relations among forces. The primary power system that determines our available perspectives is the human body. Fundamental needs like food, water and shelter determine, ultimately, what we hold to be true. (e.g. it is true that that is an edible fruit)

All other truths gain their validity from their relationship, stronger or weaker, to these underlying forces. (e.g. technology enhances food production therefore technology is true, it works.)

Morality has survival benefits that can be gauged by their ability to preserve or enhance the body.

Morality is not absolute.
(Killing is not always wrong. We need to eat. Lying is not always wrong. Lies have saved friendships and prevented murder.)

Truth can only be applied to statements. "truth" is the degree to which a statement corresponds with reality.
