I have a buddy who is in the United State Marine Corps and he has this crazy idea that ever since he joined the Corps girls have been avoiding him cause he turned into the nice guy.. Is there any girls out there ...(perferably in the west coast but anywhere is fine) that can tell my fellow devil dog that he is out of his freaking mind?! That girls do like Marines? Please prove this guy wrong,,,thanks for listening ladies ...to a Marine :)

I can't imagine any reason why a grl would avoid dating a Marine. I wouldn't mind if he's a decent guy and treated me with respect. It may be he is putting out the wrong message. If he acts desperate a girl wouldn't be attracted to that. Most girls want a guy that doesn't act like a desperate male slobbering after any attractive woman who happens to pass by. If he's a decent guy the fact that he is in the marines would not matter at all to a woman.

I live on the East coast, but i do know alot of girls that love a man in the uniform. and as for the nice guy thing, i am suuuuuuuch a sucker for the nice guy, anyone i ever dated, with exception to the first 2 were nice guys. I think girls at a younger age tend to like the rebel, going nowhere guy, and then after a few bad apples they realize that they actually want a nice guy and want to settle down with a family and stuff like that, which explains why usually those are the girls in there mid 20's and up. ya know? unless the girl is like 40 and she had always had a good guy and now she is interested in a change. ya know?

Something about a man in uniform is just plain sexy - esp. the Marine's dress uniform, actually... Then there's the training to be a Marine - a girl ought to be able to feel safe and protected when she's with a guy trained like that - and there's nothing a girl likes better than to feel like her man's got her back!
If the girls he knows are avoiding him just b/c he's a "nice guy" then he knows the wrong girls...

Men in the marines are great that means that you have discipline. Every girl starts out wanting the bad boys but in the end most end up with the nice ones.

Marines are hot! I love them but I gotta be honest I would stear clear of them now. I dated one for 5 years and dating a guy in the military is really hard, so if I hear a guy is in the military I pretty much leave him alone. Not to mention that most of the time I meet guys like that they are on leave and just looking to bone anyway. But good luck to you and your friend!

Well my friend whos a girl is a marine...she likes marines and nice ones haha...although she fell in love with a shitty one then he got married and now hes getting a divorce and wants her back and shes falling for him again...
so maybe your friend and my friend can meet up and they can be a happy lil nice couple haha
no seriously though girls do like nice guys and my friend really needs a nice marine

He's not being turned down because he's a nice guy, he's being turned down because he represents everything evil about the Bush administration. This is not his fault. It's like some poor gay guy or black person being treated badly because of their stature. I'm sorry he is being discriminated against. We should have a don't ask/don't tell policy for marines and soldiers when they interact with people outside of the military.

I don't think I would ever date someone in the marines or the armed services. But there are a lot of girls out there who would.. it takes a certain type of girl.

I think all marine guys are hot. Sorry I am on the east coast but still they are HOT!! It's a plus that he is a nice guy to.

I love marines because it gives a guy strength, courage and experience. I also like them because they learn to respect when someone says no. They become influences for other young men who want to protect and serve our country
