What type of skills do you have? You must have some type of direction. Do you want to be in front of the camera, behind the scenes on a set, or a desk job? L.A., New York, Vancouver, Toronto, and London are primary entertainment locations... Provide a little more info regarding your interests, please...

Also, Please add your info above. thx.

Sounds like you want to start as a P.A., or production assistant. Get the latest issues of the Hollywood Reporter and Variety. You'll find places to start in these publications; they often list calls for P.A.'s etc. in the back. Hint: You need to be smart, funny, witty, fast, willing to do most anything, and it doesn't hurt to be good-looking as well. Good luck!

It may be a little hard to find someone who will offer you a job and then have you relocate. If you are serious about the career, then I would move to Los Angeles and then get a job as a production assistant at a company. It does not pay well but you will meet people who have connections that can help you into a better position. The way the movie industry works is you get the next job by the people you know, not really by your resume.
If you are serious about music I would consider Nashville over Los Angeles. Nashville is inexpensive and is a smaller city - it's still competitive but at least the people are more down to earth. Los Angeles is a great place to live and there are a lot of nice people there as well, but it is a lot to take in if you are not used to a really big city.
Good luck to you.
