Beware of the Adventist interpretation of Revelation. All of their beliefs are based on the "visions" of Ellen White, not the Bible.
Did the Adventist minister happen to tell you that the mark of the beast will be given to all those who worship on Sunday???
All Adventist evangelistic meetings begin with Revelation....most churches start with the Gospel....they Wow! people with their confusing interpretation of Revelation then they tell you if you really love God you will keep all his commands including the 4th one--Sabbath worship...they then tell you, after you have joined their church, the mark of the beast will be given to those who worship on Sunday and a lot more crazy stuff......beware!

I'm not sure whether or not other denominations within Christianity set aside Revelations or not since I have been attending a non-denominational church myself. What I can say however is that disregarding Revelations in the church is the same as turning away from something out of fear.

Alot of preachers believe that the book of revelations, whatever it is or was, already took place or is an allegory for the Roman invasions. We are so far removed from that time period that we believe the Bible to be prophetic, to describe things that have yet to occur, instead of being a HISTORY (as in, the possibility exists that it already happened) book. What if revelations already happened? perhaps we're all that is left and all this religious infighting is a moot point!

The book of Revelation is an alagory, a picture of what is to come. It was given to the apostle John, in a dream/vision when he was exiled on the island of Patmos (sp?). You can't take everything in the book of Revelation literally, because as I said, it's a picture of what will happen when Christ comes back for His church. Many pastors won't touch this subject because it is so controversial. My pastor did an overview of Revelation, and it was ALOT of info! I can try to find it if you'd like and send it to you! Send me a message if you'd like it!

As a catholic I understand the book of revelations vary well, the problem with revelations is how it is interpreted, I can tell you that you could go to every religious denomination on this continent, and every one of them would have a different interpretation, and that is why our church dose not preach it's contents.

I understand the book of Revelation. In fact, we're studying the book of Revelation right now. Using a study aid called "Revelation, It's Grand Climax at Hand". Revelation is for our day, being fulfilled in our day. It is important to understand it's meaning and where we are in the stream of time.
If you would like a copy of the book to help you understand Revelation, let me know.

"The book of revelation" dates to long after most of the other books St. Jerome included in the Bible, and is not included by churches derived from the Orthodox side of the first split of Christianity.
Because this book is a late-comer, there is a lot of reason to not include it.

Because the book of Revelation is filled with metaphors, symbolisms, and truisms.
We wont know how it all culminates until the Day of the Lord

The book of Revelation isn't very hard to understand, if you want to open your eyes to the truth. I have studied advent literature, as my aunt is one. Why do they teach that the first horseman of the Apocalypse is Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace? So do the Jehovah's Witnesses. YOU ARE BEING LIED TO, or decieved.

The book of revelations is just a someones drug induced bad trip. Probably based on the experience of a shamen.
Atheism. You know it makes sense.
