To clear up the misinformed? That doesn't work here, Yahoo Answers is to get information not to preach to people and disguise it as a "question"

I asked why they ask questions here, not why they answer

Brown: So you don't have all the answers you say...why would you come here for spiritual guidance when the WT society discourages going to outside sources?

Brown, you need to check your facts, lots of witnesses ask spiritual stuff here.

More than likely for the same reason that people of other faiths who feel they have the truth ask queries. They wish to share what they know in their hearts and minds to be the Truth. I find it in poor taste when ANYONE asks a "fake" question, ie a question that they know the answer to and that they only want an agreeing answer for. I think it is really sad that people who are possibly Witnesses also fall into this act.

Often Witnesses ask questions on here because they want to know something that is not religous. I ask questions about TV sometimes, for this reason.

I guess the question is why if you feel so certain in your beliefs, then why do you ask questions that you feel you know the answer to???

Sometimes I think it is because no one likes to be picked. There are those on here who seem determined to spread misinformation about us. Plus there are those who answer with what they probably think is true but is WAY off. Sometimes it is hard, even for us Christians, to turn the other cheek when repeatedly attacked.

To clear up facts about JWs and the bible that the public has been misinformed about and to point out subjects that are related to bible scripture.

Taken from Yahoo answers QA:

What is Yahoo! Answers?

And when you know an answer, you can help others by giving answers to their questions. It's all about sharing.

Answer: yahoo answers is about sharing knowledge and information in any format. If a question is already closed then one can be open to add details to that question. Most of the questions on yahoo answers are repeated over and over again so opening up a question will share information without having to point to past closed questions that will Unlikely be read again.

Incorrect.
Spiritual guidance comes from the bible, which the WT uses in the form of materials that point out subjects that fill God’s word and purpose. Since JWs uses the bible as guidance it should be noted that questions are appropriate.

Acts 18:15 - But if it be a question of words and names, and [of] your law, look ye [to it]; for I will be no judge of such [matters].

We don't have all the answers, that's why we ask questions.

If we had all the answers, we wouldn't need to believe in God or Jesus at all.

Read 1 Timothy 1:4.
To save you the trip, it says: "nor to pay attention to false stories and to genealogies, which end up in nothing, but which furnish questions for research rather than a dispensing of anything by God in connection with faith."

Excuse me miss, but I'm one of Jehovah's Witnesses and I only ask questions about mjusic and stuff like that. We have all the answers concerning the Bible.
