Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

I went to MS forum & search for solution. It mentioned to install the lastest Direct-X but when I run "dxwebsetup.exe".
It prompt another error "A cabinet file necessary for installation cannot be trusted. Please verify the Cryptographic Services are enabled and the cabinet file certificate is valid"

I went into the "Computer Management" and check that Cryptographic Services is enabled and set to automatic as per advised by MS forum.

Anyone can advise what happen? And how to install that Direct-X.

Many thanks for the assistance on this. Thank again

You can try downloading the file from the link below. Download it and follow the installaition instructions. Normally, it will be copied into your windows/system32 folder. Once you have it downloaded into the correct folder, try to install DirectX again. It should work. If not, search for the .cab file that is causing the problem and replace it with one you can download from the internet. ood Luck!

Would help to know what app failed to start. Asking ?'s like this always need as much input as possible so you can get better results. Need pc specs, apps running at the time of error. etc....

You can try running dx from a recent pc game cd then go to microsoft and update it again. Also there is a app called dx9 uninstaller (forgot where I got it) which will downgrade dx back to ver.8.1 then upgrade it back to 9c.
