I had a whiplash accident 3 years ago. During the first year the problem was limited to my neck and upper back. (now they are slowly healing) But the rest of my body are slowly getting stiffer and less flexible over time, all the way down to my feet and fingers. What is going on? Is it directly related to the injured site? Or is it something else like stress or prolonged inactivity? None of the physical thearpists or chiropractors I have visited seemed to be able to address this. Where can I find help? Please help!

well i read up on whiplash accidents and normally for the first months or year the injury is limited to neck and upper back areas but what you are experiencing is called whiplash syndrome and i would suggest you rest for a while and not undertake too much exercise because at times it is related to that and other times it is related to prolonged inactivity. how you should know if it is whiplash syndrome is that symptoms should be lumbar pains, tingling in the arms, reduced libido, sleep disruptions, and fatigue. basically there is no one treatment for whiplash syndrome i suggest you be patient and calm because increasing fear does not contribute or aid in recovery. just go see a physiotherpist, chiropractor or a doctor and get a second opinion if you are still not convinced. also it could be multiple sclerosis. so get a referral from your doctor and go see a specialist. hope you get better.

I think you are still suffering from the trauma of that accident. Pl. take Star of Bethlehem (Bach Flower Essence) and Arnica Montanum 200 C (Homeopathic Medicine) Pills. If you can consult a Classical Homeopath, it would be good, but if you can't, I can help you. I am not a doctor, so take my advice at your risk.

EFT, Reiki and Quantum Touch are other options.

well, you've undoubtedly become less active due to the injuries to your neck and back. The stiffness in other parts of your body are directly related to the changes in your physical activity or lack thereof.

I think it's got to do with actin/myosin threads in your muscle. Over time, the damaged ones disintegrate, and because these are not replaced, you generally are left with less of them, causing a degeneration in the muscle.

This is what I think, correct me if I'm wrong.

You need to see a specialist to find out what is going on. Get a referal from your regular doc and get this checked out.
