Ok so my boyfriend of 6 months says to me this morning, "I find myself looking forward to coming home to you at the end of the day." and "I feel like I'm starting to give in with you." I know the 2nd statement not so romantic but I think the intentions were sweet. What is he really trying to tell me if anything at all. He normally is very reserved when it comes to expressing feelings in words in fact he usually tries to play it very cool. I didn't really react to what he said this morning not because I didn't want to but I had no idea how to respond. Don't get me wrong he knows I feel the same way, I am his polar opposite in the sense that I tell him exactly how I feel about him and our situation at all times. Thanks for all the responses... and to those out there that assumed that I'm too dense to know that men speak the same language... what I was really trying to "decode" was the emotion and intention behind the words. Thanks again everyone! You rock! :)

There is no such thing as manspeak. Men do not talk in code. Sometimes what they say doesn't make sense like the second sentence. But that doesn't mean there is hidden meaning.
Men don't play those types of games. Stop trying to translate and just listen to what he is saying. You'll both be happier.

Without using the words, your boyfriend said "I Love You and want to be with you." It is apparent that love is growing and there could be a question in your future. Trust each other and continue to be open about every subject, because that is what love is all about.
Of course, sex isn't bad either.

Ummm maybe you weren't listening to him? Men are pretty "literal" when they "pour out" their feelings. What he said is exactly what he meant. As a woman it has always confounded me as to why some women have to dissect each word a man speaks to find a "hidden meaning" in what he says as opposed to actually listening to what he says". Guys are you with me on this?

when someone tells you they are looking forward to coming home to you, they have found a safe harbor from the ills of the world in the haven which the two of you have created from your love.
as to the "giving in" part, he could simply be trying to say he is comfortable to let down the walls and be himself in every way.
It means he has "come home" in his heart to you.

well if he doesnt usually share his feelings or thoughts and he said that, even if it isnt romantic, it means something coming from him. Its his way of saying how he feels without feeling corny or lame.
