if all cars had 200hp but diferent in displacement...
a) 2.0l
b) 3.5l
c) 4.0l

i would agree on the 4.0l engine,
but would all the engines have about the same service b/c they all have the same output in hp?

the 2.0liter engine will be cheaper of course....however, it won't last as long as a higher liter engine. same thing with a 4-cylinder versus a v-6 engine - the v-6 will last longer.

C. there is no substitute for displacement.. The bigger engine would have less strain to produce the same amount of horsepower.
