Apply for a spouse visa, and once inside, apply for a permanent residency, based on marriage.
It's important to come on a marriage visa, they won't give you residency or acknowledge your application if you come as a tourist.

An Irish citizen is permitted to have their foreign-national spouse reside with them. As you are not a citizen of the European Union(EU), European Economic Area or Switzerland you will first require a visa to come to Ireland. A visitor's visa is valid for 3 months and if you want to stay longer you will have to register with the local immigration registration officer. After registering you will be issued with an "Immigration Certificate of Registration" which is evidence that you are legally resident in Ireland. When you have filled the residency requirements you can then apply for Irish citizenship.

Can't you goto England, get your passport stamped and have another 3 months/90 days on the tourist visa?

Apply for a married couples visa/residence visa in the meantime.

Contact the Irish embassy, not the us embassy.

touch an immigration criminal expert. i would not base you finished lives on the back of an offhand remark you get on Yahoo solutions!...it is speaking as somebody who has emigrated, have been given married and dealt with those subjects. YA is super for figuring out to purchase solutions to truly inane questions yet no longer substantial concerns like this.

If you aren't married yet it isn't too late to call of the marriage to the Irish drunk. Why would you want to live in Ireland your whole life anyway and eat potatoes?
