Being twins does not mean you are going to pass through all phases of life on the tick of the clock together.

Human genetics plays a role in the make-up of each person including the genetic markers that help determine rates of maturation and aging.

Also, external factors can come into play for hormonal changes that can alter when events occur.

Are you identical or fraternal? That alone can make a difference in your genetic markers. Fraternal twins are no closer genetically than regular brothers and sisters since they are from TWO eggs and two sperm that developed simultaneously in two separate sacs.

Have you had the identical health history, life history, number of children, etc?

So, what gives is that regardless of how you came into the world, being a twin doesn't create the sum of your life.
