True, it contains a few more calories from fat than the Jif product, but the excess is a type of fat called unsaturated fat that is not as harmful as saturated fats. I think you should try smart balance Omega Peanut butter, Not only does it include all natural ingredients, but it includes 1000mg of Omega-3 fatty acids per serving. Omega-3 fats are essential fatty acids (the body cannot produce it and stores very little of it) and have numerous health benefits including reducing the risk of coronary disease.
Peanut butter is also a wonderful source of protein and taken in limited quantities is a dependable sidekick to the fitness enthusiast.

Fattier, maybe slightly but without a lot of salt and sugar added for sure, and who knows what else may be in skippy or jiffy. in the long run your body will be better off with the natural.

My naturopath just had me switch to natural peanut butter from the regular kind. The regular kind is really really really full of sugar and salt and too much sugar is never good for you. I believe that the natural kind may have more protein too, but I'm not sure about fat.

I make almond butter and cashew butter. I think if you read the ingredients you will get your answer. The regular stuff has all sorts of preservatives and artificial ingredients. The natural stuff probably does not, but I don't know for sure. You could google it and compare the fat content

The natural kind where the oil seperates is healthier- aside from not having added sugar, it doesn't have the trans-fat (hydrogenated oil) found in regular peanut butter.

natural PB doesn't have all the sugar and salt in it that jiff or peter pan or the others have, so it won't taste a good, but when you add other things to it like some natural jelly or preserves it tastes better. yes in the natural you have to stir the oils up and refrigerate.

I prefer the natural kind too. Theres not as much sugar (if any depending on the brand you get) and no preservatives. So its much healthier for you. I guess the only con would be its usually more expensive than jif or whatever
