My girlfriend wants to get a tattoo and it would be her first. Could anybody give me links to sites where I can get ideas for her? If not just give me ideas of your own, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Don't let her get something retarded, like a ladybug or cherry. Chances are, she's NOT going to get it removed with laser, and so she has to look at this for the rest of her life (and you may too).
It shouldn't be a quick decision. She needs to think about something meaningful in her life...something that she will always want to remember and keep close to her.
If she's not going to get it in the near future, she could write some ideas in an envelope, and put it away for some months or a year. After that time, if she still wants that specific one--then she should go for it. Just make your decision wisely!

While there are a ton of sites on line where you can get photos of tattoo's they are just that pictures. Your girlfriend needs to sit down and really think about this. She should be getting something that she wants because it means something to her. Don't just get a tattoo because it seems like a good ideal. Get one because you REALLY want one and BE SURE you will be happy forever with what you get. If it means something to you then that is more likely to be something you can live with!

If she likes art she should look in art galleries or books. If she likes to sail then she should look for sailboats. If she loves chicken then she should get the red & white bucket from KFC. If she likes corn then she should get an ear of corn.
See how this is going? It should have meaning to HER and be something that she likes, admires, or has an interest in.
It needs to have special meaning for her.
And for gods sake, spare us the lower back tattoo. The tramp stamp is over, played out and god awful.

I have a angel on my lower back. Some tattoo shops will help her pick one out. Or you could do a search on the internet. It really depends on what she likes. Just remember it is forever.

tattoojohnny.com was a real good website for me. it gave me good ideas for myself. My first tattoo was of a butterfly on my shoulder and if she is worried about pain, that area didnt hurt very much.
