a friend of mine has his internet explorer windows on the start bar show like "3 Internet Explorer" I tried doing that and it just groups them next to each other but separate. How can I change it?

I've already right clicked on the start bar and all that, it doesn't work. My computer teacher mentioned something about a codec for it.

Right-click the taskbar > Properties > Group similar items in taskbar (something like that i think) > Check that box

Right click properties on the Windows start bar. Then check 'Group SImilar taskbar buttons.

It is either you follow what the other two guys mentioned above (going into the properties) or is that your taskbar is free from toolbars such as the quick launch that makes gives your taskbar lots of space... In that case, open more Internet Explorer and see if they eventually group together...
