And whoever says they dont is full of crap. I am cursed as being "the nice guy" and it seems to never get me anywhere ever. I always get the same excuse "you are everything i want but, i dont feel it." what a load of crap. why not just tell me you want some guy who will beat you? What the the reason for this? should i start beating up my girlfriends, and treat them like crap?

Jerks are confidant they think they are Gods gift to woman. Woman like confidence. A lot of nice guys are so scared they want to treat woman good and nice they really want the girl to like them. Woman sense this and they don't want someone who is going to give them everything they want. Woman want tough confident men who are going to make decisions and not be whipped by them. A lot of jerks really know what woman want to hear and they say all the right things most of them are good looking and muscular too. They pretty much con woman into liking them. Then the woman thinks they can change them. Woman always want to bring out the good in people. But you can never change a man unless he wants to change. I am a nice guy and I have done research on this.

not exactly sure why we do that. I can admit I have done that. Maybe it's because we feel the nice guy is too easy and not necessarily a challenge. Though we know we should still be treated like a princess, we seem to long for the bad boy stereotype. I think girls should be honest to the nice guys, in the sense that if they don't like them or don't feel they fit, to actually explain why

A few of these answers were good. I just wanted to add that what tends to happen when you're looking for that special someone is you put out the wrong signal (i.e. desperation, unusual tendencies, etc) They would probably like you if you could be the person you are inside.
I suggest relaxing. Do things you enjoy doing. One day you'll be doing that and this perfect woman will be right in front of you. You'll have confidence and a desire to know her more.

i am not gonna lie..it is true but,some women grow out of this phase and some dont..i was one of those girls....dating this macho tipes of guys who act like they dont care and than that makes u want them more...there is just something in our mind that makes us want to be the one who will change that guy...some guys do that too with bad girls..its all a load of crap,if someone doesnt want to change u cant change him..by the time I was 18 i figured that out... my boyfriend that i am with for 2 years now is a total nice guy..i hope the girl u like will just grow up and figure out what are the important things in life and what love really is...

You'll find somebody for you. Can't give you an answer really. The assholes always seem wonderful at first. Then when they get you hooked they treat you like crap and they know you'll put up with it. I'm done with that crap.

That is not true. Probably the thing is that you like girls who are not worth it. Some girls are as evil as some guys but we are not all the same. Get to know them better and that might help a little. I personally don't date jerks. If I like a guy I get to know him and if I find he's a jerk... then he can fly somewhere else.

They grow out of it...but you're right they do seem to like to choose men who will treat them like dirt over a man that will treat them with respect. My gf is 43, I am 39... it appears to be the magic age where they quit looking for jerks LOL hope you don't have long to wait!

This question is very subjective. Because all women are different, you can't generalize them as "liking jerks". Perhaps it's something else about you, and they just wanted to say that to be nice. Understand yourself first, and see what could be wrong. Being nice is always a positive aspect.

LOL no don't beat them. It's the rebel attitude that they have that we are attracted to. The whole "bad boy" thing. Sometimes it's nice to have a guy who will walk away and let you chase him for a while, instead of always being chased.

Its just like anything in life.....BALANCE !!!!
An immature girl may want a jerk to control her, but Women like me want a man who can balance nice guy and Alpha male.
If you're 100% nice guy,(wimp) she's gonna walk all over you...as you're weak and no fun.
If you're 100% jerk, she's gonna blow up your spot and kick you to the curb.
The ideal man is respectful, caring, funny, and appreciative, but who can also hold his own in the Male arena and *man up* in the bedroom!!!
Alot of us love to be *taken* by a big strong man.
