Hey do you care? He is too darn weird. Leave him to some other desperate. Go out with other people and don't go back to this one. I have a sneaky suspicion about this. Maybe wants some little lady who will jump at the chance to be a wife and mother which in his mind translates as subservient dish rag that he can control. Run for your life. Don't be even taking messages from him.

Cheers,

Lisa

He wants to settle down... and considering he just met you recently and this is your first date i don't think he specifically wants to marry you and have kids with you but he likes the idea of settling down with one person and starting his life soon!.... I'm approaching 30 soon and i that's exactly how i feel, I'm not dating anyone at the moment but i do know that I'm not looking for 'flings' or for casual relationships, I'm looking for a good quality person who has all the attributes i consider to be 'the perfect man', I'm LOOKING.... and i think this guy is LOOKING, so watch out!... He may be expecting too much from this relationship now.

He might have thought that's what you want to hear, or he's really ready to settle down, but at 24, that's unlikely, so don't write him off yet. He was probably trying to impress you by sounding like a family man.

been there. he's needing a commitment. I dated a 24 yr old at 18, and he told me he could see himself marrying me after two weeks! WHAT!?!?! Anyways, if you're about a serious relationship, then fine. If not, get outta there!

this would turn me off big time. I dont know what is going on in his mind but something is not right to bring that up. Maybe he is looking to have a child like right now and wanted to see what your reaction was. dump him fast

I wouldn't get too worked up about it. He may just be sharing his future interests with you. Unless he said let's go in the back room I want to be one in 9 months...in that case I would probably not think about a second date.

It may just mean that having a family is important to him. If you don't feel the same way it's probably not a fit. I wouldn't read too much into it unless he was pushy about timing.

He is looking for a family to settle down with. You do not seem like that so let him know and move on.

I'd take it as a compliment. He clearly knew how he felt about you right away, and first impressions are often the best.
