No.

XP Pro is for 32 bit processors and XP Pro X64 is for 64 bit processors. Most 64 bit processor-equipped PCs can also run the 32 bit version.

TIP: You must choose the graphics driver that matches your version of Windoze.

Yoi_55 is correct. x64 is 64 bit. the regular is 32 bit. The major difference is in how Windows operates with files and memory. As a result, drivers for hardware are completely different between 64 bit and 32 bit. Using the wrong driver set will undoubtedly cause crashes, if they simply don't work.

x64 is the 64 bit version of windows XP pro

unless you have a 64 bit processor (and the x64 O/S) then get the normal one.

you most likely still have the 32 bit version (hell, even the copy of vista I got with my new 64bit AMD laptop is still only 32 bit...

No, x64 is for 64-bit systems. The non-x64 version is for 32-bit systems.

typically: there are 2 XP Pro, one is for XP 32-bit (the majority is using this), and 64-bit XP Pro (very little people using this). Yours is the regular (32-bit) XP pro.
