This time of year is really bad for me and it always has been. I wake up with a sore throat. I'm always congested, if i work out doors i can't stop sneezing. I was wondering if anyone else has the same problems and what they take for it?. It's hard to function at my job when i'm sneezing everyten seconds. It's actually hard to function in general.

I've been on several allergy medicines and you know what works the best? A neti pot! It is thoroughly disgusting, but rinses out your nose and sinuses so that you no longer have the allergens in your nose! There are also commercial nasal irrigation bottles you can buy, but the neti pot is cheap and easy.
Here are a couple of stories from NPR about neti pots and nasal irrigation from NPR (National Public Radio).

Be careful of taking the 24 hour pills because it's fairly easy to get "hooked". I had a really bad week when I weaned myself off of Allegra. Good luck!

I too have problems with sneezing and coughing, due asthma & hayfever as well as major food & chemical allergies.
Have you seen an allergist? They maybe able to pin point what your allergic too, and help you manage your allergies.
And as Miss Vida has said the "Neti poti" works very well for nasal congestion, cleaning out the nasal cavity of gunk, dust, pollens etc.
And is well worth a try, as I have found that my asthma has settled substantialy, after my allergist suggested that I try it.
So do check the web sites as suggested by Miss vida and then check out the below link.
Good luck

I've been suffering really badly from my dust allergy. Every morning when I wake up I take an antihistamine. I've been using Aerieus, it lasts for 24 hours. I've also been going to the doctor for allergy shots. It takes a while for your body to build tolerance to it, but it's definitely worth it.
My suggestion is that you visit and allergy specialist. They will test you and tell you exactly what your allergic to and what can be done for it.

MY SON SUFFERS WITH ALLERGIES ALSO AND WE HAD TO HAVE AN ALLERGY SKIN TEST DONE BY A SPECIALIST TO PIN POINT EXACTLY WHAT WAS CAUSING ALL THE COUGHING, SNEEZING, SORE THROAT, RUNNY EYES AND ALL. AFTER THE SIMPLE TEST WAS DONE WE FOUND OUT THAT OUT OF 135 THINGS HE WAS TESTED FOR WE FOUND HE WAS ALLERGET(sp.) TO 115 OF THOSE THINGS SO KNOW HE GOES TO HAVE 2 ALLERGY SHOTS THREE TIMES A WEEK. I KNOW A LOT BUT IT HELPS HIM ALOT AROUND THIS TIME OF THE YEAR. HE ALSO TAKES SINGULAIR 10mg TWICE A DAY ALSO. OTHER WORDS .... GO SEE YOUR DOCTOR. ASAP!

You have not mentioned your job. This is allergic reaction -respiratory in nature. Better see the doctor to avoid coryza, sinusitis and then Allergic Bronchitis. Hope you are not having hereditary allergy.
