We dont. Alot of men find heavy set women attractive. In fact there are groups of people who only date heavy set women, and actually in many cities around the united states there are bars/parties setup just for men to go and meet heavy set women. I think most guys find some heavy set women attractive even if it isnt cool to admit it.

Women really arent meant to look like Kate Moss.

Don't generalize!

There are no "laws of attraction"! Each man has his own personalized individual preferences, that vary dramaticaly from guy to guy!

Not all men find heavyset women unattractive!

I for one really like heavy women! I find them very attractive, especially because big women generally have big breasts, big butts and very soft and curvy bodies.

But every man is different - some men like skinny women, some men like big women, and some men like women who are somewhere in between - it all depends on the individual guy and his personal preferences.

Where did you get this silly idea about there being some kind of universal "laws of attraction" that apply to all men?

Whoever came up with that idea is an ox moron who had no true understanding of human psychology!!

While it's not universally true - its probably true with 90% of males

The additional question is: why do so many men find slender women incredibly attractive (especially if they are slender and curvy)........ versus lets say women with average builds but who are not necessarily "heavy set" per se?

Forget about sickly-looking anorexic sticks, like certain models - most men do not find them that attractive, and their prominence is probably more a result of gay fashion directors obsesssed with the 12 y/o boy look - pushing them onto the public

In addition one must ask: is this quite apparent male attraction toward slender females innate or is it media induced?

No doubt it has mostly a genetic basis

The answer appears to lie in males genes which are the product of 3 to 5 million years of evolution -whereby humans lived in tribes and the Alpha males (dominant males) would be awarded (or would simply take) each year or season the choice females - who invariably were recently fertile young girls

Now it just so happens that such females entering puberty are by definition slender most of the time, and this is basic rule of human physiology, and this includes even ones that by their 20's and 30's will be adding significantly more pounds in some cases - what is referred today as mesomorphic builds - women who in modern times w/o excercise and diet will be adding a few pounds every year

Remember the Alpha males would not only get their choice of women - they would get most women, thus slender women but healthy and perhaps become a bit curvy also -leaving certain males w/o mates, or older females and/or castoffs

The Alpha male selection process in effect has become part of typical males DNA structure in modern times - putting slender and (and a bit curvy - representing health in caveman times) - thus becoming the benchmark standard but of course today with slightly older women age 17 and beyond etc

Note that the alpha male, the strong, intelligent, deceptive, nonmonogamous seed spreading, controlling male - is in evolutionary terms superior in terms of moving his genes forward -so its quite logical to conclude the ALPHA STANDARD would become the ultimate standard 3 to 5 million years later

I do not find them un-attractive at all. I am 6' and 235lbs myself, so im not bean-pole. Maybe its equivalent attraction (Those that are very thin are attracted to the same, and vice versa)

I love all attributes of a thick, or heavy set female. But that is just me. Don't get frustrated - Just find the right guy.

I am a heavy set woman & have never had issues finding a guy. I think some guys just like certain things, and that will never change.

Some guys like fat women. Some guys like other guys with hairy backs. People are different. When you have 7 billion of them in the world, you are going to have some freaks. The reason men sleep with fat women in general is because there are so many of them and their choices are limited. Enjoy it

Look at all the magazines made for men, like Maxum, FHM and porn...look at TV and movies....they are being shown the same type of women over and over....it's like conditioning them to like only a certain body type.

The US has the largest number of women and men that are extremely beauty conscious. We manufacture, creams, lotions, anti-aging products, and do the most plastic surgery. We are taught from childhood and see on tv the beautiful skinny people. It's our culture, we are Americans. Unfortunately, beauty and size reign!
