we have decided to celebrate st patrick's day this year by learning a little about the druid culture. i am looking for ideas on how to celebrate with our kids (4 and 6). We are already planning to plant the front flower bed and eat and cook our meal outside. i would love music suggestions or art projects too, nothing to heavy like i said the kids are little, links to websites would be great.

thanks so much!

ouch! what's with all the meaness this morning? i know that there were a lot of things in the druid culture that seem scary and weird in the modern world, but to be fair, that's true in any religion, and the only real difference is that it was not allowed to grow and change after being wiped out by st. patrick.

I don't know if you care for rabbit but a nice rabbit and potato stew would be a common druid meal. Attached is a link page on druid symbols and activities.

The Druids were really big on human sacrifice.

Maybe you should start staking up huge rocks so that they line up with the stars. Ya...... that might be a little too intense for kids.
