DEVILED EGGS

12 eggs, hard-boiled
1 cup Miracle Whip Salad Dressing
1 teaspoon prepared mustard, optional
1/4 cup sweet pickle relish
1 teaspoon salt

Cut eggs in half and remove the yolks. Mash with a fork then add the rest of the ingredients. Mix should be slightly moist. You can never have too many deviled eggs

Ingredients
12 eggs
Hellmann's mayonnaise
Lawry's seasoned salt
red wine vinegar
sweet paprika, for garnish

Method
Place the eggs in a sauce pan large enough for all of the eggs to sit on the bottom. Cover the eggs with fresh cold water. Put a lid on the pan and set over high heat. When the water begins to boil and steam starts to escape from the pan, remove the pan from the heat and let it sit, covered, for 14 minutes.

Drain the eggs and then plunge them into a large bowl of ice water. Refrigerate for 1 hour.

Crack and carefully peel the eggs and pat dry. Slice each egg in half lengthwise and remove the yolk to a medium bowl. Reserve the hard-cooked egg whites while you prepare the filling.

Mash the yolks to a fine crumb with a fork. Make sure there are no lumps. The best deviled eggs have a mousse-like filling. Use two forks to facilitate crumbing. Add enough mayonnaise to make a smooth paste. Season with the seasoned salt and red wine vinegar to taste. The filling should be tart, but not too tart. Use a small teaspoon to fill the halved egg whites with the egg yolk mousse. Garnish the mousse mixture with paprika.

Cover and refrigerate 1 hour.

Classic Deviled Eggs

Serve for any occasion, whether it be a wedding feast, a picnic in the park, or for lunch or dinner!

Items Needed: (for 12 Deviled Eggs)

6 hard boiled Eggs (large)

3 tablespoons mayonnaise or salad dressing

1 tablespoon sugar

1 teaspoon mustard (honey mustard is great!)

1 teaspoon vinegar

salt & pepper to taste

paprika (optional)

To boil eggs, place eggs in enough cold water to cover completely, bring to a rolling boil over high heat.

Reduce heat to a lower MEDIUM BOIL and cook an additional 12 minutes.
Promptly chill eggs so yolks stay bright yellow.

Remove shells from eggs, and halve lengthwise with a knife.

Carefully remove the yolks, and place in a medium bowl.

Mash yolks with a fork, and add remaining ingredients.

Very carefully spoon mixture back into the egg white halves. Garnish with a light sprinkling of paprika (optional).

You can also put the mixture in a zip lock bag, clip the corner and pipe the mixture into the eggs, I find this works great! Be sure the corner cut in the zip lock isn't too big.

My Grandmother hated mayo, so she made hers with butter and mustard. You will be amazed at how good this is.

6 hard boiled eggs
1 tablespoon butter (real stuff, not margarine)
1 teaspoon yellow mustard
1 teaspoon sweet pickle relish
dash salt & pepper
dash paprika

Slice eggs in half and tip the yolks out into a small bowl, place the whites on a plate. Mash the yolks with the other ingredients, (butter should be soft) and refill the whites with the mixture. Sprinkle a tiny bit more paprika on top, it looks nice.

There is no amount of eggs specific to the dish. You boil as many as you feel you need. Then you peel the eggs and slice in half-(oblong). remove the yolk and set a side the whites. Mash the yolks in a bowl.
To the yolks I add:
Mayonaise- to desired consistancy
about 1 tspn Dijon Mustard
salt and pepper to taste.
Fill the egg whites with mixture and then sprinkle with a good quality Paprika (hungarian)
