Joshua 1:8
Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.
Read the Bible as much as you can-then you will prosper and be successful.

1 Corinthians 2:15 The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man's judgment.
I like to remember that one when someone try's to tell me that we are not supposed to judge. God gave everyone common sense and you have to make decisions about people, and other things. Is that not judging? I think where the bible talks about " not judging other" it means not to judge whether they are going to Heaven or Hell. At least , that is what it means to me.

It's so hard to choose just one!
* The one about stoning disobedient children is quite good.
* The one about stoning women who wear trousers is also cool.
* The bit about 'an eye for an eye' - you know, the bit that people use to argue that war is okay, that's done us a lot of good

Mark 10:23-27 (New International Version)
23Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, "How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!"
24The disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus said again, "Children, how hard it is[a] to enter the kingdom of God! 25It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."
26The disciples were even more amazed, and said to each other, "Who then can be saved?"
27Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God."
Jesus is the God of the IMPOSSIBLE

"The kingdom of heaven is within you." That means, that in fact, we're in heaven now. We only have to see it. We only have to be able to be there. Heaven is a skill. Beyond whatever we may desire or fear, if we are still, we can see it. Since Jesus was not a liar and not wrong, I know it is so. Woo Hoo!

Deuteronomy 21:18-21
If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not obey the voice of his father; or the voice of his mother, and, though they chastise him, will not give heed to them, then his father and his mother shall take hold of him and bring him out to the elders of his city at the gate of the place where he lives, and they shall say to the elders of his city, "This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton and a drunkard." Then all the men of the city shall stone him to death with stones; so you shall purge the evil from your midst; and all Israel shall hear, and fear.
