I used to weigh 340 pounds and lost a lot of weight. I have lost 200 pounds and gained a little back and have lost more weight and have total wings for arms. I have lupus and cannot hold my arms over my head. I do some exercizes without results. Please and I only want serious people to answer that have had this problem and have had results. I do not have money or time to go to a gym. I need at home exercizes. Thank you so much. I am limited to what I can do because I have also had back surgery. Thank you so much

Glad to hear you lost the wt., sorry about the wings. However, if you can't put your arms over your head the exercises that will help most you wont be able to do.
You will most likely have to have the skin removed by operation. Go to a medical site and ask your Q there. Try WEB-MD 1ST and if they can't help, perhaps they can reccommend a site that can help you.
Dont be discouraged, you have done a marvelous job! Insurance often pays for the surgery you need, if the doctor says it's necessary and I'm sure the doctor will say it is necessary. best wishes.

Congratulations on your weight loss! That's a great accomplishment. It's very possible that by losing so much weight the only way for it to look normal again is to have is surgically removed. The body isn't capable of toning up so much excess skin. I'd consult with a doctor to help you decide. Keep up the good work!

Good for you on the weight loss! That's the good news, the bad news is this: regardless of muscle tone you probably have a great deal of excess skin which is only remedied with plastic surgery. I've watched the surgery performed on TV dozens of times, and the cutting away the excess skin is what they do.

hold a can of beans or something similar in each hand. Keep your arms straight and raise to shoulder length.then bend your elbow so your hand is under you elbow. Your fore arm is parrallel to your body. then move yur hand to your body and then so that your arm is nealry straight again. Do this 20-25 times.

Then put your arms straight out in front of you chest high, then bend your arms at the elbow and bring toward your chest, but dont quite touch then extend again. Do these 20-25 times.

Remember thos cans of beans! added weight will help tone the muscle quicker.

Hope this helps

Try doing triceps press downs in weight room. This will tighten up the back of your arms. Aerobics is very good. This will work the whole body and firm up everything. Drink lots of water . This promotes healthy skin and will aid in firming/reducing flab.
