my kids have both mine and my fiances last name. But when me and him get married im not if im guna keep my last name and add his or just take his. If i just take his do we have to get the kids names changed so they just have his last name?

Having the same last name as the parents would be easier, and less confusing to school administrators, etc. However, there's no law that says you have to take a certain name or that your children have to have your last name. Even if your last name is something like Smith-Jones now and will be Jones when you get married, your children can have any last name you give them.

I would make it simple for everyone, the same last name keeps life simple on so many levels, however it is still your choice.

the same last name would make it easier for all of u. especially for the kids!! but hey, that's just my opinion.

No you can do whatever u want to.When u are legally married u can use his name anytime.and on tax returns.when u contact soial security and change your name that makes things hard!! Becaz if u divorce you have to pay a lawyer to change it back to your name. All u gotta do is show your marrige certificate to tax people only if asked.
