The space I have to work with is only 17" wide/33" tall/and 23" deep.

Mine had the about the same measurements. Go to sears and ask about a Maytag Quiet Series 300.

Try some yard sales. Look through the news paper. Some body is always advertising good appliances.

Idk.....I hate them. They never wash them clean like I do and take forever.
The time it takes to rinse and load....Im done washing dishes.
