The last prophet in the Tanakh was Malachi, who wrote at approximately 433 BC. God's message through Malachi was one of chastisement for unloving worship of Him and a refusal to follow His commands. God also warned of the Messiah's visitation to the earth and that few (Jew or Gentile) would be able to withstand His judgments. In 70 AD, the Temple was destroyed and the diaspora occurred.

Yet since Malachi, there have been no prophetic words given to you from God. The Bible shows such a time gap is unprecedented.

To what factors do you attribute this silence for the past 2,440 years?

It took mankind a very long time from Adam to Abraham to be ready to follow G-d's plan for humanity.

And even at that time only a small remnant of man was ready.

how much more so will it be for all of mankind to be ready?

I believe it's because God doesn't exist... the same reason he hasn't shown himself to Christians in the past 2007 years. Ever notice how the miracles stopped flowing right about the same time the camera was invented? Even if they DO manage to allegedly take place today in the modern world, it's ALWAYS in some third world country where nobody can afford a camera.

Very convenient, hmmmm? It makes one realize why the Tabernackle was off-limits to all but the high priest... because when you look behind the curtain and see not a god, but a man, it makes travelling to Emerald City one big waste of time.

Maiachi 4: 5 refers to Elijah returning before the great and dreadful day which has taken place in this generation before the destruction of this earth . Both Jew and Gentile have missed this .

There was never really a Time gap. For those 2'000 years,God's message was written across the sky,in the star symbols. Check out E.W. Bullingers book intilted Witness To the Stars. Feel it would be a great help to you.
