It wont accept cd to update drivers

Consult the linksys router manual. The instructions and settings on how to configure the router is there!

You probably need to reinstall the drivers for it - you should have gotten a CD with it, otherwise check the linksys website.

In IE Type 192.168.1.1 with the modem connected to router.
program your router . For instructions.

I am not sure whether a driver is required for the router.
You have to program it.

sounds to me like your PC took a nose dive. perhaps the motherboard has erred
