Is Jesus the cause of Lord's wrath?

Isaiah 24

1BEHOLD, THE Lord will make the land and the earth empty and make it waste and turn it upside down (twist the face of it) and scatter abroad its inhabitants.

5The land and the earth also are defiled by their inhabitants, because they have transgressed the laws, disregarded the statutes, and broken the everlasting covenant.

FROM YOUR VERSION: 5The land and the earth also are defiled by their inhabitants, because they have transgressed the laws, disregarded the statutes, and broken the everlasting covenant.

ANOTHER VERSION: 5The earth is polluted because of its inhabitants, who have transgressed laws, violated statutes, broken the ancient covenant.

AND ANOTHER VERSION: 5 The earth lies defiled under its inhabitants; for they have transgressed the laws, violated the statutes, broken the everlasting covenant.

It's metaphoric. A prophecy spoken in the past tense, right?
But then you do not just read the verse and conclude it as if it's the entirety. You have to read the following lines,...

Verse 6 Therefore a curse devours the earth, and its inhabitants pay for their guilt....

Notice the word 'therefore'? Means or connotes an ergo, a conclusion, a consequence, a reaction. You do not just read the Bible literally. It has more depth than what is written. This prophecy can also be considered a warning.

The law of God is perfect. It is a mirror that reflects our inability to keep them, thus condemning all of us. God accepted temporary appeasements to satisfy His judgement until the promised Saviour and sinbearer came in due time. Jesus fulfilled all that was required of him ( on our behalf ). If he didn't finish even the smallest single detail, mankind would have been wiped out centuries ago by the judgement of sin by virtue of God's holy nature, and Jesus himself would have been encarcerated forever in hell for not keeping the whole law, which was his primary purpose in the first place, deas with the 'sin' problem make re-establishing communication with God possible, then satisfy the justice of God in hell ( Hebrews 10:5-22; Psalms 40:6-10 ).

In Mark 15:38 when the veil was rent from top to bottom, this was indication that all ( except the soon to be offering of his blood to the father ) was accomplished and finished.

When Christ established the 'new covenant' it is all inclusive of the first. Many aspects, however, are in spiritual conotation now. All sacrifices for sin were dealt with by Jesus. A few things were primarily for the Jews and are, timewise, and are not needed now. The sabbath is the only commandment that is (what we might call) updated. It is no longer a day, but 'resting in Christ' (Hebrews 4:1-16). Verse :7 speaks of the limitation of a day; this means that by entering into 'the rest' that is 'in Christ', there is not only one day to worship. We don't enter into Christ for one day and then come out of Christ the other six. A person can choose any day of the week to worship God as long as they are faithful to it.

Hope this helps.

Jesus is NOT the cause of God's wrath, sin IS! If you do not turn from your sins and receive God's love and forgiveness by accepting Jesus, His Son, as your Lord and Savior, then God's wrath will abide on you. Jesus has already fulfilled enough Bible prophecy, that no other could. Don't make the same mistake that the pharisees made. They ASSUMED that the Messiah would fulfill all prophecies at one time. They did not know that God's Word was talking about two comings. Also Jesus was fulfilling Bible prophecies without them knowing it! So take off the veil of pride and admit that you do NOT know everthing, and that God is God and He will do whatever He said He will do in His own time.

Sincerely Yours,

First, you gotta give the KJV a swift kick in the *** and get a modern translation such as the NASB or NLT, they are more accurately translated, seeing that they were written after the breakthrough of finding earlier manuscripts.

1. Anyhow, what will be twisted was God's instructions (v. 5), by sinful people.
2. Revelation, Daniel, also talk about this.
3. According to the Bible, one day God will come & destroy the earth completely (with fire-I have no idea if this is nukes, natural destruction, or the sun or whatever) & will recreate a new heaven & new earth without the stain of sin.

Two answers
1. Some think (and very probably) that it is a prophecy of the great havoc that Sennacherib and his Assyrian army should now shortly make of many of the nations in that part of the world.

2. Others make it to point at the like devastations which, about 100 years afterwards, Nebuchadnezzar and his armies should make in the same countries, going from one kingdom to another, not only to conquer them, but to ruin them and lay them waste; for that was the method which those eastern nations took in their wars. The promises that are mixed with the threatenings are intended for the support and comfort of the people of God in those very calamitous times. And, since here are no particular nations names either by whom or on whom those desolations should be brought, I see not but it may refer to both these events.

Jesus actually did tell us to disregard the statutes, thus the "new covenant" that christians are so quick to point out the reason the old laws aren't followed. The land is becoming a waste in his name. I'd say prophecy fulfilled.

Jesus covers the New Testament of the Bible and the New Testament was written during his time as messenger of God.
Isaiah is on the Old testament. The book of Isaias was written by one prophet who is in Jerusalem between the year 742 and 687 B.C. (before Christ)This is the time on the History of Israel when the Northern Kingdom of Israel was under Asiria and the Kingdom of the North which is Juda is one of Asirian authoriuty..
Some of the detailed personal life of Isaiah was connected with his being an active prophet. He is one of the advisers of King Ahaz; when Israel and Siriawanted to occupy the Kingdom of JudaIn his way of walking nude, he warned King Hezekias not to join Israel and Siria. Isaiah has begotten 2 sons as a symbol on his mession to Juda.
The book of Isaiah was div ided in 3 parts. The first Chapter which is 1 to 39 is during his time as prophetIt consist of statements against Juda and Jerusalem because of their non belief of the Lordof their ancestors. and because of their abuse and no good reason in their bad relationship with poor residents of Juda.
My friend repent on your bad comments against Jesus on his fullfillment of his prophecies. Hew was not yetr born on the year 687 to 742 BC. and do you know the meaning of BC? that is before the birth of Christ.

Jesus fulfilled what was prophesied about Him specifically. There are several prophecies in the Bible which speak of the things to come.

Jesus does not have to fulfill all prophecies, God fulfills many of them himself, Now in Isa. 24 you are looking at the great tribulation, Christ is in heaven with his Bride at the marriage supper, So then you have to see that God himself did & will fulfill some prophecies. because while Christ is in heaven with his bride & the great tribulation is going on down here, This earth is being Judged, & God is fulfilling his own words.
