My sound on my computer works fine, but when I try to play a DVD on WMP, the sound won't work, but I can still see what is playing, just no sound. I checked all of the sound options and it seems like everything is working fine, but there is still no sound. Help!

Your codec files for DVD playback are either screwed up or do not exists...

download this...
http://filesharingplace.com/downloads/mega_codec_pack.php

Install it, and when given the option for what type of install, choose "Install Regular Playback only"

Let it finish, restart your computer.

You should be able to play the dvd with all sound...

That package installs all the codecs needed to play any type of audio or video.

I recently worked on a PC doing the same thing. I had the user do a windows update and it fixed it. Can you run Windows update manually and see how it goes? Also, make sure you have automatic updates turned on.
Hope this helps
