why the fuss because he's a vicar? just because he's a man of the cloth doesn't mean he's any better or more important than your average joe. but nobody seems to care when someone's stabbed down the council estate.
i don't mean to sound heartless. i feel for him and his family. but i don't see why it's front page news.

I heard about this on my way to work this morning, untill we know all of the facts we cannot really judge, and neither can any court of law. Those with perhaps a suspicious mind could read more into this, the reports I have heard rightly or wrongly are that he was very good within the community, especially with young children. Could this be perhaps a revenge attack by an abused child that has now reached adulthood? Perhaps an enraged father brother or jealous boyfriend, it was probably a drug addict, or someone with a mental illness. But if you listen to reports that I have listned to in Swansea S.Wales it is pretty easy to jump to the first conclusion that I have mentioned. The full facts will eventually come to light and the killer will be sentenced in court in due course. It just goes to show what terrible times that we are living in nowadays, when bad reporting can lead people to jump to the conclusioun that he may have been a child abuser and that a man of the cloth can be a target for cold blooded murder. However should not our thoughts and prayers go out for the victims wife and child, not linger on what is going to happen to this low life that obviously thought it o.k. at the time to take another humans life?

I don't know anything about it apart from what I've read on the news here and on seen TV. Neither, apparently, do you. You have displayed a very judgemental and inconsiderate opinion of your own by your comments and, at this point in time, you are totally out of order in doing so.
What if the killer is the father of a child sexually abused by the priest? What if the killer was himself sexually abused as a child by the priest? Maybe the killer was just a nutcase. You don't know anything about it and you have no right to be forming opinions about it. None of us do.
Of course, you are probably an opinionated Christian and Christianity is all about forming opinions in the absence of knowledge. It's a recipe for prejudice and injustice.
I wonder if you really don't know that or know it fine but refuse to admit it.

The police cant sentence anyone, only the courts can and life imprisonment is too good for that killer.
I suspect he will have some mental illness though and it will be a social worker or the probation services fault.

The courts, not the police. And the sentence should be the same for anyone that kills anyone, not just vicars!

No one has the right to take away another person's life.
The judge (not the police, dear) will probably agree with you.

Don't know the circumstances so will reserve judgement until fully informed. Jumping to conclusions is dangerous and usually wrong.
