This is a ridiculous question. It sounds like you don't want gay people to be able to openly tell the world that they are gay. If this is this case, no straight person should tell anyone that they are married. After all, being married to someone usually means that you are having sex with them, and I want to be spared from knowing that any random person is having heterosexual intercourse.
The more that you try to supress someone, the more they will fight it. For so long, we lived in a society where a person couldn't openly admit that they were gay. Now that (in most cases) we're all allowed to open about our sexuality, some people WILL take it to the extremes -- like participating in marches and having Pride Week.
There are plenty of straight people who speak openly about the specifics of what happens behind their bedroom doors. Personally, I don't think anyone should share unsolicited details. But that doesn't mean that a person shouldn't be allowed to mention their sexual orientation. That's just plan silly.

First, that's too broad a statement. Many gay and lesbian folks are pretty darned quiet about it.
I'd like you to indulge in a little exercise here, if you in truth want to understand rather than just have people agree with you.
Let's say you have green eyes.
And you're told, over and over, in ways overt and subtle, that having green eyes makes you sick or unworthy or less-than. And let's say that your green eyes are the reason that you're disciminated against at work, made fun of at school, and so on. And let's say that there are a whole range of unsavory characteristics that people associate with green-eyed people.
Eventually your green eyes would the most important aspect of who you are...because other people will have made it so, by not caring about anything else about you.
Would you wear colored contact lenses in order to "pass"? Would you overcompensate for your green eyes by never doing anything that was popularly associated with green-eyed people, even if those same things were considered OK for people with blue eyes or brown eyes or grey eyes? How long could you do that before you said "That's IT! I'm not going to be ashamed of having green eyes, and I'm damned well going to demand equal treatment!"

When Women wanted to be treated equal, they marched and protested.
When Workers wanted to be treated fairly, they marched and protested
When Black People wanted to be treated equally, they marched and protested.
Homosexuals want to be treated equally, guess what strategy you think they would employ?
You want Gay people to stop making a big deal out of their sexuality? Make it a non issue. Make it law that people are hired on the basis of their qualifications only, not religious dogma or church doctrine.
Until then, the protests will continue until the situation improves.

funny, i've seen those that are quite opposed to homosexuality bring it up more often & make a bigger deal out of it. although some do ask about it in the bible, they don't give any specifics.

You know I never understood that either, I have lots of gay friends and I have nothing against that. But some of them are so flamboyant. I guess it's just their thing. Who knows! But they sure are fun to hang out with..lol.

I don't know to me it looks like you are the one making the big deal out of sexuality. I mean, you are the one that brought up the topic.
Be careful saying you don't want to know about anyones sex life, you just might get someone on here telling you of their wild escapades just to spite you. ;-)

The issue seems more to be the concern of "moral" Christians who selectively enjoy "Leviticus."
