i have about £250 to spend on a bike need it for on and off road, want a good reliable bike was going for a mens carrera vulcan (me and allan wil both use it) does anyone have any opinions of better bikes for the money and reviews of the carera vulcan

for 250 pounds (375 dollars) you wil not be able to find much in the way of quality...
you need to spend at least 350 to 450 pounds to get something that will be reliable and more sturdy

Your other option is second hand or last years models. e-bay might be viable, but try other on line sources. Also, you could look at ex fleet rental, perhaps based at a lake, or tourist attraction. These tend to have a good service history, while being cheep.
