Through common courtesy. You speak as though this is a 'flaw', when in reality it is just part of the average women's psychology. This attribute just does not fulfill the typical male requirements. Women are attracted to drama, and yes alot of the drama is accomplished through talking. But that doesn't necessarily mean that drama is a bad thing.

I have had several men tell me they did not talk much because men do not think. When we ask them what they are thinking & they say "nothing" they aren't lying!!! So that to me means thats why men don't say much. They also don't converse with us because they can't keep up with us.
