For as long as I can remember myself being able to write, I have developed an everlasting lump, of what seems like pushed up skin on my middle finger. It is numb; a small swell underneat my finger nail...I believe it is because of the way I write because I put pressure on that spot, but it's the only way I write...
If anyone knows or has this, do you know how to cure it, because it's noticable and I don't particularly like it!

It may never fully go away, but you can limit further irritation by using foam wraps for pens and pencils, or use those larger soft sided pens.

You need to have the doc look at this to find out what is going on. I am surprised the doc didnt' tell you more about this and what could be done for it when you go in for your yearly physicals since you said you have had this a long time.
