That's funny, I find it so lazy for people to ask a question that is easily answered with a simple search. The person asking a question that can be answered with a wikepedia answer seems to me to be the lazy one, not the person who took 35 seconds to locate the answer.

I find that I can take it when a person explains how they feel about the question in their own words, give information from Wikipedia, and then leave the link because people can find more information when they do it like this - this is the way I do it. However, I can't stand it the way Mikem33607 just did it because it's not funny and it's pure laziness.

I ask few questions here, but the ones I do, can't be answered by a Wikipedia search. I want to hear peoples opinions, and answers from their experiences. If I wanted a dictionary definition, I would have looked it up myself.
I gave a wikipedia answer once, the asker got a whole lot of different answers, and I was trying to settle the issue. I did not cut and paste the answer, I took out the part that fit the question, and typed it out myself. I did not get best answer, but I was not looking for it. I was just trying to help.
I do wonder why people don't look things up themselves. Maybe they also want opinions.

Yes. Annoying for some of the wikepedia information is questionable.

If that's all they give as an answer, yes, that is kinda lazy. If they answer briefly in their own words and add Wikipedia or any other site as a source, I like it; much better than when people don't give any source/proof at all!

The lazy thing is someone being dumb enough to post to Yahoo answers when an accurate and useful answer can be found with a brief Wikipedia search.
By posting to Yahoo Answers, you;re asking other people to do research for you. It's arrogant and egotistical to expect them to not only do your research for you, but rewrite just so you don't get a Wikipedia link.
If you frequently get Wikipedia links as answers to your questions, and the Wikipedia links are accurate answers, then the people answering aren't being lazy. You just lack rudimentary research skills.

I think it is more lazy of the person ASKING the question to not search for the answer themselves. Clearly it is simple enough to do if others are finding answers from wikipedia or google.com

I do hate it but beggers can't be choosers!
As if logging onto Yahoo Answers rather than researching it yourself isn't lazy? Cummon...

YES YES YES....as if the person asking doesn't know that it is there to look stuff up! If you want to answer put some thought into it!

Nope.
Takes more work than the asker was willing to put in. A fine, acceptable donation.
