Yes! It is actually alot better that way. Children, especially young children are prone to dryer skin and it is best for their if you dont bathe them everyday. This is true even for adults- not to to wash your hair everyday because it causes dry scalp and washes away the natural oils that are beneficial to your skin and hair. So, yes you are doing the right thing. I havent yet heard one pediatrician say that it was "important to bathe everyday". If they play in the mud, than obviously you have to give them a bath, but as long as you are frequently washing their hands and wiping their faces- all is well

Two of my 3 girls are in school and they usually only get bathed every other day....unless like you said they are really dirty and need it...if not they get handed a warm washcloth to wipe down with before bed.

During the summer is a little different as they spend most of the day outside and sweating.

No, that's what I do. My daughter has eczema and it was actually recommended by her doctor that I do that. Apparently, too many baths can dry out the skin. Anyway, my kids get a bath every other day unless they do something to get dirty. Come summer, they'll probably take a bath everyday, because they'll be outside more and get stinky and sweaty.

that's what I do. We have 1 shower and 6 people. The two girls and I shower every other day and on opposite days our 10 yr old showers. Daddy and other mommy shower every day. Once summer hits things will be different but we'll have more time and be able to shower at all times of the day so there's hot water for everyone...Hope this helps

yeah that is fine, little kids don't have body odor issues,so it is fine as long as basic hygiene is taken care of such as brushing teeth, a clean face, hands and bottoms they are fine. I skip a day occassional in the winter with my 2 little ones, not so much in the summer unless they have been in the pool (not a chlorinated one because that would fry their hair) 3 kids under 4 is a lot of work so if you cut a corner to keep your sanity that is probably the best one to cut.

even with babies your pediatrician will tell you not to bathe them daily, giving them a bath or shower every other day is OK as long as you sponge them off. Don't let someone tell you that they never went a day without a bath because they are lying to you, you know when your kids are clean.

My daughter has a bath every other day unless she is dirty or sweaty, or we are going somewhere. I always wash her hands and face before bed though. In the winter it is better to give them baths every other day it prevents dry skin.

That's how often I give my kids baths. I see nothing wrong with it. Usually during the summer when they are outside and get filthy, they have a bath every night. It helps them sleep better too. If they get dry, I put Eucerin lotion on them. I think you are doing perfect.

no im a mom of 3 boys all 3 and under. the baby gets washed up daily due to spitting up and it getting in his hair ect.. but the other two get it about every other day. sometimes everyday. they stay inside so its not like they are filthy, but if they eat soemthing messy or soemthing than it would be necessary.
