OK lets try a question where we put the traditional religious bashing aside. Bhuddist asked this question but got really horrible answers (and picked a bad one as well) so I'm going to try again and see if I can get some better answers. No converting, no explaining that "atheists are genius scientists", no religious fight club. Christians, atheists, other theists, and the "idk" crowd--religious beliefs set aside...
let us say a solid 24 hours : What Most Novel things would you think you'd do, or at least, try to accomplish, in that 24 hours? Not so much an "if you had 24 hrs to live" cause you'd do more selfish things like live it up then--but inspirational novel things that you would like to think you'd do. what do you care about? what would you really put 24 hrs worth of time and effort into?

By novel and inspirational I do --at the very least-- mean something you dont do everyday. So really, you'd call your friends up or you'd sit and pray would really make these 24 hrs no different from any other. The best answer has to be something that is a benefit to multiple people--not just a benefit for yourself.

I find it interesting that everyone answered from a religious point of view even though you specifically stated that "religion" should be left out of it. You asked for something "novel." That, in and of itself, would have to be something you've never done before. Thus making it a "novel" experience taking place over the course of a 24 hour period. You also asked for something that might "inspire." After thinking about those two criteria, this is what I would do...
I'd go downtown and speak with the many homeless people there. If they were willing, I'd gather a few of them together and act on their behalf. Perhaps I'd stand on a soapbox and as affluent people walked by, I'd ask, "Who is willing to help these people out? Who is willing to share a few dollars so these unfortunate people can get themselves a meal?"
The problem with the homeless is that we often perceive the situation as an "Us" and "Them" scenario. We forget that they are a part of our society. By being a member of the "Us" group, acting on their behalf would be a surprising and disquieting experience for most. They would first look at me and then look at them. Perhaps for the first time.
I would hope that this might set the ball rolling in a more positive way for both groups. But knowing human nature, I'm more likely to get myself beaten up by the "Us" group!

Fundie Xian here.
Let's see, I would do my best to finish the book I've been working on for a year now, and then I would write personal letters to all my friends and family telling them how much they mean to me, including all my friends here on answers and 360.

Write an article or commentary on the simple belief of love, forgiveness, lack of judgment of others, not throwing stones and walking in the footsteps of Jesus.

What do you mean by "novel" things? New and revolutionary?
I'd publish a book on my non-expert opinion of what makes a Good Christian (not blindly believing, not judging others, being tolerant and accepting of others, loving your neighbors, etc).
