It's a game that Germans play at Christmas. On Christmas eve someone hides a porcelain pickle ornament in the Christmas tree. Then, the kids come back and try to find it. Whoever finds it first get to open the frist present a day early.

It's when you hide a pickle around the house and wait for it to get all old and smelly. Then your family/friends try to find it.
It's a great game - I like the video game version of this as well.
