Yeah, freeze 1 of the pitchers and then poor the water into the pitcher with the ice...the water is all there but you can tell the difference

I think I would pour the first pitcher in, then freeze the pail. Then I would pour the next pitcher in and I would know which was which since frozen would be frozen and the other would be liquid.

I know..
It doesn't matter which comes from which pitcher, they are equal, and they are(you remember...)"each half full of water".. so you can just put the water back into the pitchers, to the same level as before, and that's it.... ugh..!!!

just freeze the pitchers, and drop the water into the pail as a blocks of ice...I don't want to say it but...yes I used the web!
